5.3 swap for a 6.0 2012 tahoe

I have a 2012 police tahoe that i blew the 5.3 motor on (don't ask) and i have a 2013/4 denalli with a 6.0 if i take the 6.0 motor with it's trans what all do i need off the denalli to drop both motor and trans into my tahoe?

That engine should be a 6.2 if its thats new of a Denali. Is yours 2 or 4wd? Remeber the Denali is AWD. But the engine itself is a direct swap.

There are several differences between a Denali and a Tahoe other than just the engine. Would need the full 6.2 exhaust which is larger diameter. The trans is the 6L90 where the Tahoe is a 6L80, both 6 speed automatics but the L90 is beefier. Different transfer case, I'm told the reason the Denali 6.2 is full time AWD is that the rear axle can't take all the torque all the time, so the AWD will redistribute the torque to both axles (from a GM engineer). I'm sure the 6.2 will bolt up to the L80 and everything will work fine with correct exhaust and EDU to match, just be wary of the extra torque on the Tahoe drive train for long term durability.

I find it odd that they say the rear axle can't take when it is a 14 bolt semi float. Which is very similar to the ones they use for the 2500.

When I was researching NNBS Escalades to buy, the 07 I got for 25k with like 45k miles at the time went for 35k bc it was AWD. The RWD counterpart on average for a used esky the same options was about 5k cheaper. Pretty much you're paying a few extra thousand to have AWD or 4x4.

So i just need the motor and trans? And get the computer reprogrammed?
What about mounts?
Wire harness?
Or any special adaptations?

I went from an escalade to a suburban. Big loss of horse power. The caddy motor is far superior all around.
