5.3L to 6.2L Swap

I have a 2007 GMC Yukon SLT 4x4 with 185K currently. It uses coolant and oil, but i dont have any milky oil or coolant. My lifters havent collasped, yet and I intend on righting that problem before it kills my vehicle. I was given a set of American Racing long tube headers for an 07-08 GM Truck with a 6.2L. I love the 6.2L and have always felt the 5.3L was underpowered for these big SUVs. So my plan is get an 07-08 6.2L truck engine, refresh it, DOD/AFM full delete, and then swap all related hardware and parts from the 5.3. Then drop in it, run a Black Bear Perfomance tune on it and service the trans, upgrade the servo to a corvette servo. and SEND IT. Just looking for the extra grunt to haul a camper and have that big 6.2L I'm not looking to push any power over the stock 6.2L

Any advice or tips would be great.

At least as important as the transmission rebuild for its durability / longevity:
3.73 axles
The rest of your plan is pretty solid.

What's the ratio of your axles? 3.08? or 3.42?
If you have 3.42 axles, you might not want 3.73 with a 6.2L - then again you might, if you enjoy leadfooting?
If you have 3.08 axles, you will want at least 3.42, if not 3.73.

Far too many don't know that upgrading the axle(s) is much more bang for the buck than engine work.
I'd rather have a 5.3L & 3.73 axles vs a 6.2L with 3.08.

That is definitely the plan for the transmission.
are my 3.53s too high?
