^ What he said.

Even a 6" rear drop is pushing it, but doable. I'm on a 5" rear drop and any deep/sharp drops at speed will slam.

a 7" rear drop 100% will require notching the frame, and probably tubbing. @Rocket Man has a SLAMMED 1500--he'd be able to provide you some more info,
How did you achieve 5”?

He’s running 26” wheels from the look of it, which fill the wheel wells up and make it look lower. I can guarantee he has rubbing issues in the front with that setup. Part of the reason I got rid of the 26’s on my 02 with a static drop. That rear kit is only using drop springs and shock relocations. The adjustable panhard bar is to center the axle in the wheel wells.

@reddmonkeyy those are DJM front lowering control arms. They make a few different options/combinations.

I also don’t think that’s a 5/7 drop. It looks more to me like a 4/6 or 3/5.

They’re from IHC suspension but not sure as to what drop they achieve, hopefully with the 2/4 I can close some gaps

I don’t know much about the IHC’s, but I do know the DJM’s are serviceable as they offer both replacement bushings and replacement ball joints.

3” drop with upper and lower arms:

If you’re 4WD may limit your front arm choices.

I know it’s kind of late since you already ordered the kit, but I just ordered parts for a 2/4 drop on my 08 Tahoe. For the rear, I just went with 4” drop springs and shock relocators. I recently installed new Arnott rear auto level shocks and a Dorman compressor and plan on keeping the auto level like I did on my 02 Denali. I will be shortening the ride height links so the system doesn’t try to raise the rear up, thinking I have a heavy load on the hitch. I did this on my 02 and it works awesome. For the front, I’m cheating for a 2” drop. I will be “flipping” the bottom of the struts to the bottom of the control arms and adding a small spacer meant for a 1/2” lift to the bottom instead off the top where it was designed to be installed. I will be using grade 10 bolts and nuts because now the struts ( and front of vehicle) will be hanging from the control arm instead of resting on top. The relocation to the bottom of the control arm will result in about a 1 1/2” drop and the spacer will add another 1/2”or so for a 2” drop. Some guys have used this method combined with either drop spindles or drop control arms for a 4” or more front drop. This is a budget build and this will cost me around $300 for the whole drop and there’s no need to remove ball joints or get an alignment when I’m done. I will be detailing it in my build thread for my bagged Silverado. Link https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/thr...lverado-build-aka-the-machine.100281/page-297
