I might have a deal worked out with my nephew. He has a 2004 sierra denali awd w/qsteer, has a new tranny and transfer case within the last 5000 miles, The truck has 199k miles, runs great, it has the normal piston slap, doesn't leak oil etc. What could i do to that engine to freshen it up a little im kind of worried about such high mileage but i only put maybe 100 miles a month on it, i take a 500 mile round trip twice a year. What would you guys do?

If it has a new tranny then I would just do a full tune up on it and drive. The tranny is the problem and if it's new I guess your good to go.

I am doing the same... Brand new tranny on the engine that runs well. I'm changing all fluids and spark plugs with wires.
