6.2 what kind of mpg are you getting?

Hello everyone. I have been watching the forum for several months now and wondering......
Am I getting proper mpg or what.


I have a 08 denali with a superchip tune a k&n intake and a jet maf sensor. No other performance options.

City I can't get more than 8 mpg highway 12mpg.

I drive her relatively hard. I am not racing from light to light.

Is this normal? What are you getting? What should I do differently?

My 6.2L Silverado with heavy 22x12 and 35s on a 9" lift is getting 10.5mpg city.

I'm only blackbear tuned, nothing else.

why did you get a jet maf?

IF you drive her hard ull prob get some low numbers but that seems low...

Supercharged, i get 13.5 average per tank...thats 1/2 freeway...

Got 17.8 coming back from upnorth with full load at towing jet skis

overall avg on our 07 yukon denali is 14.8, but that's with the wife driving too

Only have a BB tune and do 90% city driving (meaning it's rare to go .5 miles without a stop sign/light) and I get 10.x mpg. That number includes a 667 mile highway trip (part of ~3500 miles)

From painful experience I can tell you that anything from Jet is best used as a paperweight or doorstop. Just spend a few minutes on Google. By themselves, their "chips" and other junk are notorious for causing over rich conditions, and also, may not play well with the Superchip tune. My Tahoe (in 2WD), does 11-12 in town, and can hit 18 mpg on the freeway with BB tuning and intake mods and I'm turning heavy 22" CK798's.
