6.6 and Allison swap, anyone done one?

I think I'll go with the allison. Talked to a few people and it seems that one could make it work but its not worth it at all.

Since I do not have a 2500 suburban I really am wanting to run this. Or take the 6.5 turbo diesel from a GMT400 Diesel platform and run a 4L80E if I am on a tight budget.

I heard a guy on another forum had that same setup DH....He said it lacked power on top-end while on the highway. Just tryin to keep you informed.

That sucks I wot be towing anything big. I have two Arctic Cat snow sleds and two jet skis but that's light towing needs. I know there are quite a few 6.5 around my area for cheap too.
