I wish someone would make a thread on how to do this....I would like to know what parts will bolt up and what not. Not to mention what it would cost the average mechanic to do himself. Duraburb charges around 18k to do the swap so I think buying it all yourself and doing it yourself would be half that.

The problem is that it is more then just some simple thread write up. There is a lot to it. Remember you have to swap your instrument panel ad probably your computer etc. and wiring it all is a lot of work. The duraburbs to me are perfect. Better then any excursion could ever be.

Oh I realize that there will be a lot to it....but honestly I don't see anything too complex....I mean chevy and gmc use the same base platform for everything they make. I would be willing to bet that the most complicated part is getting the wiring harness swapped out.

Right now I'm in the works for putting a 6.6L in my Yukon with a 4l80e...the idea is just an engine swap and keeping everything else factory. I'm doing homework on another forum and going to see what kind of info I can come up with. It seems that it will work out for now but only time will tell. Just seeing if I can get some hype and info about my possible build.
