That's cool you have a Pilot as well! Great vehicle. We nicknamed ours "Old Faithful" LOL. Never had a single issue with ours. The 04 doesn't have a filter. That's neat that they put them on the 05. Wish ours had one.

Ours only has 104k lol. No issues. Tires at 75k and water pump kit/plugs at 100k. Went kinda overboard when we bought it new, i think it has every option except nav. EXL with leather, AWD, oem painted flares, oem window visors, chrome corner/bumper caps, chrome mirror caps, tow package, roof rack, front push bumper thing with fogs, running boards, oem exhaust tips, dvd player with headphones, 6 cd changer, heated seats, rubber floor mats, carpet floor mats, third row, keyless entry, etc.

A family member has one as well, its just an ex but it is awd, and hes got over 300K on his original engine and tranny.

Sounds exactly like ours. EXL-Nav. Minus running boards and fogs though. I'm about to do the timing belt, water pump, plugs and some other goodies here in the next few weeks.
The Tahoe is much bigger on the outside, but I swear the Pilot has just as much passenger room as the Tahoe inside. I feel like Pilot has more cargo room as well.
Tahoe is cool though and has greater towing capacity which is why we got it. It's been the wife's dream vehicle for years.
I rotate between the Pilot and the EVO, she dailys the Tahoe aka Big Bertha, lol.

So just an update since no one ever updates the end of threads like this so it makes searching kind of useless:

I dropped the pan this weekend using a hybrid of the two ways I was planning on using.

I pumped from the radiator hookup (like the video shows) until I saw air bubbles. Probably could have went longer but decided to play it safe and cut off early. I did this by myself with running the hose out the bottom the yukon and using the remote start. After that I loosen the pan, loosen the transfer case mount and jacked it up slightly. I still could not get this pan off all the way so I cranked down on the exhaust with a ratchet strap on the y pipe above the crossmember (tie down around the crossmember to pull it down). This gave me enough room to wiggle the pan out, which still had a bit of fluid in it, but I didn't take a shower in it like I would have if I didn't pump it down. I was happy to see the fluid in decent shape, and the date stamped on the filter as 2014 so it has been serviced at some point. I replaced the filter, reinstalled/torqued everything. Added a 1.5 gallons of fluid and flushed a bit more until I liked the color out of the hose, then topped off, test drove, topped again etc. All in all about 2.25 gallons of dex vi were used between the pan drop and a bit of flushing.. shifts better than ever on the test drive, hopefully it stays that way.

Now to tackle the leaking oil pan gasket.... o_O

I did my filter and fluid top off on my 09 4x4 yukon with the 6l80e couple weeks back at 152k. No issues before, none after (knock on wood) fluid look pretty good for never being done. Peace of mind with new filter and 6qrts of new fluid. But it was a PITA to get the pan on and off because of the exhaust, had to unbolt behind the trans and pry. Didn't wanna risk breaking a bolt off the manifold flange.
