Hello, new here. Recently acquired a 2006 suburban 2500 with the 8.1 liter engine. I need an upper fan shroud. I believe the original part # was 15028050 and was replaced by 15088326. Anyone know where I can get one of these, or is there another part that will work? I’ve searched this forum but have yet to find an answer. Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the forum from Oregon.

First I looked at RA and found no listing. Then I looked at ebay and found one 1 piece used fan shroud for part #15028050 for over $400 including shipping. Then I tried part #15088326 and found several one piece used for around $150. Is yours a 1 piece shroud or a 2 piece shroud?

that 2nd part number may not be correct, I would measure yours with a tape measure *write down your measurements* then go out to the junkyard and see if a standard top one off of a 5.3 fits. would not have to be a suburban, could be a tahoe, yukon, escalade, etc
as far as I am aware there is only 2 sizes but never measured a 8.1

Go to GMPartsDirect.com, enter your VIN, go to the Cooling section, and look for the exploded diagram of fan shroud assembly. You should find what you are looking for along with the correct part number. And, the cost will be significantly cheaper than the local dealer.
