Not much to report today. I had to wait on some tools so things didn't move as quickly as I would have liked. Anyway, I got the oil pan and balancer on and torqued down. The pan was about as flat as cottage cheese, so a few love taps here and there were needed to straighten it out. I also started the steering box swap. The red one had a reman'd box and the one on the white one had an unknown past. Those pitman arms are a pita if you don't have a puller. Once you get one, they come off smooth as butter, lol. Anyway, on to some pics.

And pics of supra were requested. Not really much to show, it's in rebuilding stages. Couldn't tell you what's going on with it because I don't know the owner. I just know it had a nasty underhood fire and the guy is going about cleaning it back up.

Not much to report today. Just got the steering boxes swapped and mounted the engine mount brackets on the block. I'll pull the old mounts off the red truck (BBC mounts) and replace the inserts with some new Poly ones from prothane then get them on the white truck (SBC mounts). Still waiting on the valve cover bolts. It's been about 3 weeks now and still no word on status from ARP. Not a super big deal yet, but it would be nice to have them since they've been paid for already. I'm also thinking I'll re-install that cluster and dash pad since I did what I wanted behind the dash and I'm afraid something will get broken sitting inside the back of the truck.

Wanted to give an update on this slower going project. Finally got the motor in the truck. Had a loooot of mount trouble. I went through 3 or 4 sets before we found the right ones, that sucked. Everything is bolted together, motor to frame and trans. I got the headers mocked up and they'll fit, I just had to remove the bumpstop bracket for the front diff. My bolts finally came in, so I can install my new valve covers when we're ready to go. I need to put the front end back on and start running fuel, oil and trans fluid lines to the various coolers and tanks but that will come a little later.

Oh yeah, I know someone had a taste for MKIV Supras, so here's one. The owner is shooting for 1000whp and has pretty much decided that if he can buy it, he will. I don't know the full mod list but the only major motor mod missing is a 3.4L stroker block, other than that he's got everything needed to go well north of his goal with no problems:
