I'd say around $3-3500k. The tranny is slipping, the brakes lock up (that could be costly), looks like it needs new tires, a new battery. It does look like he took good care of the body and engine though. I guess it depends on how bad the tranny is. You're going to have to drive it and report back.

I'd offer him $2500 and see if that offends him.

Damn I was thinking a little less than that. I'll still shoot him an email or call him tomorrow and try to see just how attached to it he is.

try 2 grand.. those problems are probably expensive to fix and im sure he looked into it already and knew it was going to cost a lot so he decided to sell. it has a lot of good parts on it, but by the time you make it road worthy, youll be putting in another 3 grand depending if you do the work..

brakes could be anything, bent line, needing to be bled, etc. could be a $20 fix or a $1000 fix. its already got the three expensive parts replaced.

i could have that trans rebuilt for under $1000, or go get one outa a wrecked truck for a couple hundred, but thats here, not sure what/who you have available out there.

It'll probably start out as a trail truck for the first few months so I'm just going to fix the brakes and tranny first. I have a guy that rebuilt my accords tranny for around $1500 (including new tc) so I figure the truck's wouldn't be too much more. I don't want to count my chickens b4 they hatch though, havn't heard back from him yet.
