95 Tahoe dead fuel pump?

Good afternoon, I've got a 95 Tahoe and was driving it the other night and it died all of a sudden, the rpm's started to drop so I tired to give it gas but it still kept dropping so pulled it over and got it towed, it was running fine till this happened gas tank was full all guages were fine and it didn't make any strange sounds it just died, still have lights battery connections are all good, it turns over just wont fire up, and when you have the key in the postion before it starts you dont hear the pump at all, so im thinking the pump is dead or maybe there is a fuse, does anyone have any idea of how to figure out what the problem might be? thanks for the help

btw just had the battery and starting system checked a few wks back to make sure everything was fine since it was getting cold out, and the fuel filter, plugs, wires and cap and rotor were all done it the last few months

Hello ..... Have someone stand by the back of the truck.... Low by the rear tire. Turn key on..... If you dont hear the hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Than yup its a fuel pump. Not hard to do if you have a warm place to do it in.....

being as how you were driving with oil pressure pressure and no sound when you activate the pre-start 2 second prime it would be the pump or fuse. Fuse is 20-amp labeled ECM-B in under hood power box.

update: ended up being the fuel pump, replaced it today, runs mint now
