95 tahoe wipers stereo and hvac are out help!

so you tapped one of the red wires on the ignition switch for the power source and it had power always? that is good what about using the other red wire going to the switch as a power source? btw these are likely the biggest size wires on it.

Yeah always.the other red wire only has power when the ignition is switched on. And they are the bigger wires. So I decided to grab a new ignition switch and everything works again but the hvac controls only work up to level three no high and I cant choose direction of the vents or control the temp again but when it was "hot wired" it worked like it should any thoughts on that?
