The EGR valve itself was pretty clean to start with so I think it was already changed out. The nipple that broke off, broke off from the EGR solenoid not the EGR. That's why the code 32 I got, I think was because of the solenoid.

Ok. You probably said that and I didn't catch that. You get old you miss things at times. Will be 62 on Xmas eve.

Thanks and keep us all advised on the rig as you go along. I don't remember, is this a 2 door rig? I am in hot pursuit of a 2 door 4x4 Tahoe if I can find one around here in Eugene, Or. No rust at all in the area. No salt used on roads.

As to the origanal question for this thread, I took your advice and googled the heater valve. Found that the vac line for that hooks into a solenoid mounted on the A/C accumilater. Never said what the Tahoe is. It's a 95 4dr. 2wd. tow package, with an external trans cooler. rebuilt trans.

I will find my 2 door 4x4 Tahoe some day. I had a white 96 at one time and some a$$hole offered me too much money for it at a weak moment and I have been kicking myself in the a$$ ever since. Good luck.

Haven't we all! I had a 1990 Harley Fatboy, all silver paint on tanks, fenders and frame, limited edition, the first Fatboy and I sold it for half again more than I paid for it and still want another one. Dammit!

68 Charger 440 727 trans 4:10 rear, 68 Impala SS 327, too many to list. Any way took the Tahoe into town tonight, about a 28 mile drive, and the check engine light came on again :hmmm2:. Went to Zaxby's for dinner. Drove back home the same way, and no light :wtf:. Ran like a top both ways at 60 to 70 mph. :emotions122: :Frustrated: So it seems Oreilly's scanner is only picking up one code at a time??? Each time I've changed out something I always clear the codes. I unhook the neg side of the battery. This last time the battery was unhooked for a day and a half.

What code did they get? You have a 1995, pre OBD2. You can only get one code at a time sometimes on the OBD1 vehicles. So what code? May be a day or 2 before I respond back. Off work and going to my friends house for football games.
