95 was a funny year, halfway though they had TBI's with the vortec dashes, i know the 96+ had all kinds of problems with the IGN switches. Even my 96 has problems but not annoying engough re&re it lol.Square. Tbi engine
Her. But ya I agree95 was a funny year, halfway though they had TBI's with the vortec dashes, i know the 96+ had all kinds of problems with the IGN switches. Even my 96 has problems but not annoying engough re&re it lol.
So buddys truck is pretty strait forward, IGN switch sends earth to the IGN relay then powers up the ECM. So if his problems aren't in the Column its the Relay is bad or it has a blown fuse...
Lol. Google mechanics.
You can pretty much find all this information by simply googling it and pulling up the first article @MotownYukon
Amen brother. I don't pretend to know much about these vehicles, I'm more of a tpi guy, but I really do love learning about these rigs, and I enjoy the comraderie here of my fellow enthusiasts. I think we're all students here, some know more then others and we should embrace this valuable knowledge that's kindly shared with others. Google doesn't know everything!!pretty funny, how some can condescend the help from people like myself and others, we are here to offer knowledge and support that comes from decades of trial and error. So "google mechaincs" can find the first hit on google and find forum's like this one, then take somthing away from it and hopefully apply it to their issue's. Myself i'm a Student and a Teacher in many disciplines of mechanics.
Sorry for the rant, but i take this shit seriously.
