Hello, I have a 1995 Yukon 4x, I was selling my Yuk and I had taken it to a drive through car wash and they had a spray setup under the vehicles to wash the underside...I drove over it and the truck stalled but started right back up....The next day I sold the Yuk and the buyer told me the next morning it had a little bit of a hard starting issue. (If this did cause the issue I want to help fixing it since I sold him the truck as running great).

Other than the hard starting it runs great (I am not sure it is a continuing thing yet only happened this morning)..

Any ideas? could this just be timed right needing a tune up?, possibly something got wet from underneight?, never has happened before...

Thanks for any input...

That's a cool you're an honest seller who wants to do the right thing for the buyer. Mad props.

Anyways, what kind of hard starting issues? Is it having trouble cranking? Or does it crank fine but take a little while to get started? The 3 biggest reasons a car will have trouble starting is either Low or no spark, low/intermittent fuel pressure, or not enough/no air. If you leave the key in the on position for little bit, does it start easier? If so it could be a fuel delivery issue. Do you hear strange clicks before the truck starts? If that's the case you could have a bad electrical connection or a bad battery. Hook us up with some more details and hopefully we'll be able to help you out more.

hard starting

Hello again, thanks for the props...that is the way I was raised...

Yukon has a 2 month old Optima that works great, no cranking issues, no clicking...so we know it is not a battery issue.
I advised him to run some more fuel through it, fill it with fresh fuel, change the fuel filter, clean the air filter (K/N cold intake cleanable) I had gotten fuel from a mom and pops gas station on the last tankful in AZ and possibly old or bad fuel not sure, so I thought the combo of all 3 could be the issue...

He is also going to have a tune up done and if that does not work I guess we have to go from there..

Can it be the fuel pressure regulator that would make it start harder (only a few seconds to start it not like it is sitting there stuck and not able to start)
Or possibly a fuel pump getting ready to go out?
Thanks for the help.

Alright, so now it does seem to lean a little bit towards fuel delivery. Could be the fuel pressure regulator. Or a combo of the fuel pump getting tired and the pressure regulator. Check your fuel delivery components. You could even check the injectors if you think its necessary. With any luck the problem is small and best case scenario, you have ****** gas.
