97 Tahoe 4x4, 5.7L with over 200,00 miles on it, coolant leak also, no friggen idea where it is, strength in numbers bro, strength in numbers
I use an old trick where i drive the car around to get it warmed up to normal operating temp, then I park the vehicle on a flat surface, closed garage works best, so there is no wind or external moisture, over a large piece of cardboard, and then I go to get a beer or two and I come back to check if there are any coolant marks on the cardboard, then I crawl under her and look up, well the problem is I aint got any coolant stains on the cardboard but the coolant is disappearing, what the heck right?
I may be thinking of adding the coolant die to see if I can spot it with a black light, but if she's leaking through the intake manifold that aint gonna do me any good anyways
thoughts, ideas?
