96 tahoe speaker sizes

hi im looking to replace the factory speakers on all 4 doors, can someone please tell me what sizes they are im hearing mixed stories that they are 6 1/2 and 6 3/4, and are the brackets required? Thanks.

6.5 but most 6.75 fit too.you speakers should have all the hardware you will need. Should not need any bracket for those speakers.

thanks for the reply i went with the 6.5 and i ordered brackets for the front 2 doors just in case they were only $5
