Hi Guys,

I can't fix the problem since my last post..:(

Oil pressure sensor is okay amd a new fpr is installed...nothing changed.

But: most of the time when i start my chevy it runs great when teh engine is cold...when the engine warms up, the chevy runs rough and bugs betwenn 1300-1800rpm....it seems/feels like that the chevy have some misfire or running out of fuel....but he didn't have it (scantool). btw: no trouble codes or so... :(

Last night i parked my chevy with the front downhill: there was this weird symptom at startup....he never did it before.

i also checked MAF, EGR and IAC

Have someone an idea??? i don't know what to do :( :( :(

Best regards from germany

You said you got a new FPR( I think you mean Fuel pressure Regulator)

Did you also check the fuel pump relay? it might be finicky. Get a new one(make sure it's the right one, mine didn't have the correct one) It's a inexpensive relay to at least try.

It almost sounds like it’s getting too much fuel. Engines run well cold bc they need the extra fuel but once warmed they do what yours is. Your truck has a throttle body right? Do you smell extra fuel? Have you checked vacuum lines and anything that let’s enough air get in? I don’t know how to check a tbl like I do a carb.

Hi Big Mama,

the engine has a Multi Port fuel injection kit installed.... And yes: sometimes i could smell some fuel. Hmmmm, sounds interesting.

Wich lines are important to Check for vacuum leaks?

On Friday i'm going to Check my fuel pump again with a pressure gauge.... I've done this before, but let's have a try.

Greetings from germany

It sounds ridiculous to say check all of them but since you’ve pretty much eliminated getting enough fuel it makes sense. Another way to check is to see if your oil smells like gas. Check your dipstick. Also check anywhere air is supplied like the air filter and intake for obstruction. Welcome from Virginia USA

Good morning ;)

But when there's a vacuum leak how can it be that my car has this symptoms sometimes and not all the time?

I checked the dipstick: i can't smell gas in the oil

Have you tried a MAP sensor from a known good or a (donor/junkyard) vehicle? Make sure your driveability, Meaning scan while driving for your 1500-1800 rpm problem to eliminate transmission lockup as a concern. Search posts for Transmission Shudder. Hope this helps.

The amount of Vacuum needed varies so you wouldn’t feel it all the time.
