96 Two Door 6 in lift?

If you went with a body lift and what you have now, you could in theory get to about 5 inches of lift for cheap. But it wouldn't look right unless it had bigger tires. And bigger tires mean lower mileage as bowtiefreak mentioned. To get back mileage and power you would have to spend another chunk of change on regearing. And to top it off, if you went with anything bigger than a 33" tire it would be preferable that you switch out your 10 bolt rear for a 14 bolt. I'm not trying to be a downer, just trying to give you some insight

It really depends on if you can do any of it yourself. If you pay a shop for all the work your looking at (and these are just what I've been quoted by a few shops):
1500 for an RCX 6" kit, installed
1000-1300 for new gears, installed
Not to sure on the 14 bolt swap, haven't gotten any quotes for it, in my area I can get a 14 bolt for 150-300 bucks.
Also, you have to take in to consideration that your front end could be worn out, so it would need to be re built when the lift got installed.
