you will either have to unplug those individual components and recheck with a new fuse and/or trace the wiring to look for a shorted wire. I would however go for the cig lighter first. That can corrode and cause terminal to break which you could probably see inside the socket. You can disconnect it from the back.

yep, it was the ciggy lighter. changed the fuse and everything seems to work great once i disconnected that.

thanks a lot for your help, bud. not sure why you chose to help a dope like me, but i'm super glad you did. it was driving me crazy having to load everything in from the doors instead of the hatch. thanks again, i owe you a brew!

Glad to hear it, a new socket and plug would cost about $20 at the dealer if you choose to fix it.
