'97 Yukon has good, and bad days apparently (CEL flashing, rough idle, etc.)

Alright, I put some moar gas in the tank and it seems to have gone away... Also I've thrown in some STP fuel system cleaner and it seems to be running way better. Thanks a lot for your suggestions!

But now everything off of fuse 13 - ciggy lighters, power locks, hatch, etc. have stopped working, but the fuse isn't blown. I tried changing the fuse anyway and it didn't make a difference. I don't even understand how that makes sense :(.

There is a relay that is in the circuit for the power locks. If that is bad that MAY be what is causing your issues. It is located up behind the cig lighter.
Mine went out and stopped operating the passenger side. But at $40 I'll wait until the whole thing craps out.

This is just a guess. I'm not much on electrical.

Actually all that is fed of a 30 amp fuse in the underhood power center that branches out to others in the cab. It should be a 30A mini and should be about in the center of the block and might be labled on the lid as aux fan.

hmm, in an interesting plot twist, i didn't even have a fuse in the slot deemed "aux fan." putting one (30a) in didn't help either. sorry to be so helpless guys, but this unwieldly behemoth has thrown some pretty weird things at me recently... thx for your patience. wish i could email y'all a brew.

Scratch that is it actually a **** fuse rated at 50A.

It should feed fuses 19,13,1,7,2 and one circuit breaker inside the cab.

Sorry confused it with the one next to it in diagram.

Should be the 50A fuse closest to the the battery cable stud sticking out the back of the block.

i'm not sure if i pulled out the wrong one, but when i did the headlights stopped working, but it wasn't blown. i can't find any blown fuses :(.

normally this wouldn't really bother me, but i can't open my hatch because i broke a key off in there last year, same with my passenger door. should i just set it aflame and collect the insurance money? :p. I DID however, manage to break the fuse box cover clean off, so i guess that's a start.

That is good(not broken lid) just eliminating the obvious. Use the diagram below to locate and check for a loose wire matching the color on the convenience center or fuse block connection. It sounds like a connection has been broken or knocked loose.

I really appreciate your help bud!

Maybe I'm just crazy/stupid/both, but I don't see any colours (or descriptors of colour) on the diagram. From what I've sensed stopped working (cig. lighters, tailgate, power locks and lumbar) it seems that whatever s264 is my problem. I don't really know what that is, but I checked anyway, haha. After looking around at my convenience centre and breaking a whole bunch of things on the way there, I didn't find anything that seemed strange, but I wasn't very thorough because I didn't really understand the diagram :smokin:. I think I might just take 'er in.

Orn is orange and it is safe to say it seems to be the only color useed in these specific circuits.S264 is splice 264 its location reads as "tip Harness, approx. 16 cm from tip Cluster Breakout toward Radio" which means the splice is 16cm away from the instrument panel cluster toward the radio.

Alright, I just figured out that fuse 13 is blowing as soon as I put a fuse in the slot. I never noticed this because I'd put a new one in and it would immediately blow.

What causes this? Thanks again Comet!
