Here's one for a decent price ($285 w shipping) I have watched on fleabay. If anyone knows of a better price...

Are the Sanden brand (and similar ones) direct drop-in...same mounting points, high pressure switch and pulley diameter as the original style?

The clutch on mine won’t engage anymore, going to swap the whole system out soon.

The Sanden 4440 is a direct replacement as are the knockoffs. AFAIK they are the only direct replacement for the original HT6.

I have a leak in rear lines .. everything worked good for one day it held charge .. 2006 Yukon XL 5.3 could I get by with replacing the rear line set and evaporator.. then just take it in and have it vaced and recharged ? I see rock Auto has the right lineset and evaporator. Or is it more complicated then that ? Rig has 177,000 miles .

I got AC Delco stuff coming from Rock Auto. Needed a new compressor, orifice, dryer/accumulator and service valve. Is this going to be one of those things we are going to fight with for days? Or is it pretty straightforward? Any tips, tricks? 1995 Tahoe 2 door.

Check that you have a wrench that fits the dryer nuts. That’s the one thing that can stick and strip where it goes through the firewall to the evaporator.

I'll have my hubby make sure he grabs one from the shop. Thanks!!! Just a week or two and I'll be blissfully chilled (hopefully).

Keep us posted because I got the warning about nuts on the evaporators from GM mechanic . He said they can even look good and still snap off .
