So, I came out this morning and the Tahoe wouldn't start, No fuel. So I replace pump and filter... No start still. I had already checked spark when I came to the fuel pump conclusion, and it had spark in at least one cylinder. Now it has plenty of fuel, with no spark. I checked the same cylinder as before, and also at the distributor end of the coil/dist wire. No spark. I'm confused. It at one time during the day had a cel on while cranking. Then all the sudden no cel when cranking. At the beginning of the day, one cylinder would pop off every once in a while... But now not a Single pop, stumble, nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

yes. check for code history for a crank or cam sensor issue. a crank will kill the start and running but a cam one will just delay the start. run continuity test on coil and check fuses ecm1 and eng1 under the hood.

So, some new developments. Changed fuel pump and filter. Now it has fuel, but didn't have spark. So I diagnosed a couple things, scan tool said crank sensor... Replaced crank sensor, no change. Started diagnosing, good spark at the coil, but at the plug it was a very erratic spark. I looked into cap and rotor, they were soaked in oil and looked like shit. It also has acquired a backfire every so often. So I bought a distributor, cap, and rotor. Installed it and still the same thing, except it spits and sputters more and the backfires are Little more often. It also wants to stop turning over while cranking, sometimes so hard it actually grinds the starter gear. It completely acts like it's out of time. But it has literally done nothing but sit since the last time I drove it till I went out too start it yesterday morning. Which it only sat for... A day or 2? It ran just fine when I parked it last. So I am thoroughly confused. Any help would be awesome. Thanks y'all...

remove the plugs now and inspect them for debris and damage. while out crank again. if still difficult to turn it may have some mechanical damage. are you sure the dizzy was aligned correctly? if so and fuel and spark are correct then there is a rare possibility that the timing gears and chain are are out of sync.

There's no internal damage. I've already had all the plugs out, they were wet as hell... Cleaned em up and put em back in. No change. It's not always hard to turn over, only every couple seconds while cranking, like it bucks. Yes the distributor was put in right. The new one I bought cane with a clamp that wouldn't let you put it on unless the distributor was in perfect alignment. And I marked everything coming out and going in. It was a stored code, active. But I think it was only because I had my ole lady crank it while it was unplugged to check the pickup voltage. It's supposed to be 10vac, it went from 3 to 9vac, that's why I changed it.

I did find this, and it exactly describes what's happening... But I replaced it... And still no change.

Right now it's between this in the pic above, or every injector stuck wide open. The oil seemed to smell like fuel. And the atmosphere around the truck smells of fuel after trying to crank for a while.

yeah was just checking to see if it was the p0338 to begin with which would have been solved when sensor was replaced. open tb and looked down the intake if you see puddles of fuel or strong scent of it then something is wrong with the fuel injector body such as a leaking regulator. the only way fuel gets into the oil directly is to seep past the pistons into the pan or a manifold that has cracked open. take a look and let me know.
