when the thing was running after you replaced the dizzy your oil pressure was still there correct? just want to be sure. and since you said the old dizzy was soaked in oil up top make sure the pcv system is clean. would like you to know that while a a case relearn should be done it purpose is to learn variances in the new sensor to ensure the the misfire data is correctly recorded. it is not required to make the engine run smooth. it should do that regardless of old or new as long as it is not broken. because you have the rough running indicate other issues. i attached another file to help run it down.

It was the sensor harness the whole time... I've got it running, but now it's not getting spark to cylinder 2 and 8. Brand new dizzy, cap, and rotor

I didn't cross em... I even swapped wires from other cylinders to rule out the wire itself. The icm and coil have been tested. I'm sure I got a bad cap

parts for cap & rotor foo. other often don't work well very long. the vortec cap is a complicated design and does not take well ti inferior quality parts like house brands. computer components as well.

I get what the parts house has. I'm gonna go with a accel cap tomorrow. Ac Delco and those are order parts. I'm really not that patient right now as I just got the front drive line in. I want to go get it to our off-road park. Lol
