98 Tahoe wiper and cruise control issues need help

hello all ...as stated above i have a 98 tahoe 5.7 ...... my cruise control just stopped working...now my wipers are acting up by not turning off right away.... intermitent speeds not working just staying on continuous... checked fuse for the cruise i looked fine but changed anyway... changed out the the blinker/cruise/wiper switch... still no cruise and still same wiper issues.....

frustrating... any help appreciated.....thanx in advance

I have had my 1999 Tahoe from day one. a few times each year the cruise control would stop working. I have proven to my own satisfaction it is not the brake switch or steering column connections. I can make it fail by engaging the cruise control and while I am cruising down the highway in cruise control simply turn off the ignition. It will not reset for a few days then suddenly work OK. Since this failure mode does not cycle any switches or connections I think it is a computer issue.
