got the same radiator but delphi unit. i put the flexalite 280 on mine tho. more open space.

Do you have a photo of the top radiator mounting brackets? I'd like to see how Chevy set them up with the rubber insulators.

When you say more space, what are you referring to? Are you running a shroud on your setup?

Thanks for the pictures, but it looks like you have the smaller radiator.

The version for the 7.4L is taller and thicker..I don't like how my rubber insulators are sitting, so I'm hoping to find a OEM set.

The flexalite 280's are nice, but I had no idea they cost so much $$$. I love their promotional BS about the mod adding 17hp and saving 3mpg. You and I know the real benefits, but companies should be ban from claiming those figures (just like the CAI companies do) b/c they trick guys just getting started in the hobby.

34x19x2+ inch double-core rad. perhaps your lower mounts are to high.

and they really do have benefits the get you some lost power back and gain some mileage.

Hmmm, to fit a 19" tall and 2"+ deep rad, you would have to raise and lengthen your tops mounts and in the picture they are the stock versions for the 5.7/6.5 motors. I guess I'm not exactly sure what you have then...

OEM Stats:
- 5.7L & 6.5L Rads: 34IN X 17 1/4IN X 1 5/16
- 7.4L Rad 34IN X 20 5/8IN X 2 3/16IN

I agree you will pick up some lost power, but it's minimal. To claim a 1mpg increase in mileage is to say we've increased the efficiency of the engine by 5%+...if we achieved a 3mpg over factory, we've done some pretty amazing workl!! That's my big problem with marketing, they just make those figures up...and don't even get me started on their horsepower claims!! :throw:

With your expertise in data, engineering and everything electronic, we should start a company that does one thing, audit marketing claims within the auto world!

when they made those claims remember they are saying that for any 92-2000 ob body with a 5.0 to 7.4l engine as long as it was a 34" core. when i can i will try to pull off some more numbers of the rad parts as i work on it to see if i cant solve this mystery.

we could start it but i would like it to be nearby or home run. I am beginning to like it here at the house and would like to re-landscape and make the backyard edible.

I'd like to think I have and still do some pretty amazing work. after doing my rockers and pcm lately and tri-y headers next month i so need to get my little monster on a dyno.

Over the last two weeks I installed a reman AC Delco steering pump and a new Moog pitman arm...for some reason the Moog pitman arm I had on there was shot in about 20k miles; idler was ok.

Also, the big improvement was....

Installed a set of Realift Torsion Bar Relocators - very cool product!!

Here's an initial product review and I put together a How-To video that I'll post up next week when I finish editing it:
