Ok so new to me 99 tahoe with 180k on the clock. First of all it pulls to the left really bad. So compensate for now turning to the right to keep it on the road. Well when you reach a certain point turning right it will basically give away and shoot to the right without me doing anything. Also while turning slowly you can feel the wheels or something under the front suspension flopping around. Any idea what this may be. I have plans to take it to a show to get it diagnosed but time and money are always a factor with me. Let me know what you think.

Take it to your local alignment shop and have them check out your front end. It could be bad alignment, front end components to bad tires. But let a certified person at least diagnose it.

Suddenly jerking to the right sounds like a steering speed sensor going out. Grab a buddy and jack the front end up. Get down and look at front end while buddy cranks wheel back and forth and watch for loose parts. Grab steering components make sure they're solid. Check ball joints. And take in to a respected shop for an alignment to make sure all geometric angles are good.

unknown at this time.
If the cause is the electronics it is more likely the steering wheel sensor. BTW the EVO system does not get input from the front wheel speed sensors. It gets its speed input from the vehicle speed sensor mounted on the tranny or t-case as the case may be.

The steering wheel speed sensor is what I was referring to. It monitors steering shaft rotation and let's the vehicle know you are wanting to turn, than refers to your vehicle speed measured from tranny/t-case and adjusts power steering assist for the speed you are traveling and turning desired.

Correct?
