A ‘23 Burb is finally mine…

For a few days lol.

We rented a ‘23 for a vacation this week. Nice riding machine. Sure does have a lot of gears compared to my 4L60’s.
And acceleration? I could get used to this.

I rented a new Tahoe back in 2018 to drive from Detroit to St. Louis, probably shouldn't have done that, bought one in 2019.

I have sat in each of the newer model years of 2007-2014 and 2015-2020 and 21+ and will when I find a 24+ and still cannot find any that have as comfortable a seat as my GMT800.

The newer seats have all the heater and power adjust mechanics that seem to compromise the cushion effects. I notice that in new cars too.

Compromise in a good or bad way? I am 6'4" tall and weigh 280. All of the seats that I have tried, seem way harder than mine.

The nicest seats I had were in a 2016 Silverado, they had the Katzkin leather seats and door panels, nicer than any leather GM puts out. I bought it used with 9k miles and don't think anyone ever sat in those seats.

I like mine also. I like it even better after permanently disabling engine stop-start and Daytime Running Lights.

Yeah, don't get me started about that (pun intended).
I had a few things to say about it when the A/C started getting warm at a long stop light.
Other than that, the truck was a blast to drive.
