damn i thought they started in 04. wonder if the clutch is shot to living hell on the fan.

seems like the compressor is not turning on. bad hi pressure switch can do that.

I agree but he is just searching without tech knowledge and I am worried about that. Hopefully he gets it figured out before he spends good money after bad.

So I spoke with a family friend who is a mechanic and he suggested I try to reduced to the freon pressure in the valves. I tried and the gauge is still reading in the red. I am taking it to him on Sunday so he can look at it.

I appreciate all the help in the thread.

I would do the Condenser and the accumulator-this should be done anyway and the orifice too. Flush the entire system out. Kits at RA. If you can afford it, do the hoses as well, especially if they are original.

Do you find when hot air blows, that if you turn engine completely off (safely, not in freeway traffic), that cold air will then blow? If so? Replace the hot/cold actuator. On my 05 suburban, it was under cowling where passenger’s left leg would be. Good luck!

No, when I turn the car on the first couple of seconds the air is room temp and then it starts to get warn.
