If you are changing your compressor just get with a auto store they can look it up for you, you're gonna want to replace you accumulator, orfice tube, high and low service ports wether it's a Schrader or ball valve, if you have rear a/c also replace the Thermal expansion valve. Anywhere you break loose a fitting those o-rings will need to be replace and lubed with the proper viscosity PAG oil that will be used in the system. Do your accumulator last and as quickly as you can. Then you'll want to vacuum down the system as quickly as possible to avoid the desiccant bag from soaking up excess moisture. For each component replaced you'll need to reintroduce a certain amount of oil back into the system so do some research and find some look-up tables. Same goes for the refrigerant. Unless you have scales and can measure exactly how much you're charging the system pay someone else to do that.
It's not a hard job to do if you have the right equipment, a little time consuming especially if you need to replace an evaporator or both. It's not aanything you'll want to try and tackle all Willy nilly though.
