Has anyone done this?
How did you do it? What belt did you use?

This is my dilema. I have a crazy squeak/chirp thats been going on for a while now. I have replaced my alternator, idler pullie, tensioner assembly, 2
belts and now waterpump. The squeak has gotten worse since I've done my waterpump this past weekend. I'm almost posotive its my a/c bearings. I would like to bypass my a/c until I can fix/replace my compressor. I do have an appointment with a mechaninc this week who has a stethascope (spell check) to find and pinpoint the squeak. So for the mean time, this is what I'm going to have to until I can fix.

Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Go to an autozone or similar and find a belt for your truck with no AC is where I would start. I am not sure but I would imagine some trucks did not have AC.

They sell a ac delete pulley it mounts in place of the ac and uses the same belt. Advance auto parts online part number 34174 cost is 32.99.

Im not sure about how to delete the ac for the time but i had the same problem and had to replace my ac bearing. It was actually a fairly easy fix and cost about 150$. The thing is that you need a special pulley holder/remover for that clutch/bearing on the ac compressor. Only took me about an hour to do. Good luck with the problem!
