I just had a friend check my A/C pressures to see if I needed a charge and after unhooking the gauges the lowside port is leaking slowly... I used some small needle nose pliers to pull the pin back up to try and stop the leak but it is still coming out slow... What can I do to fix this before I lose all my freon and I do have to charge it??? Please help me!!! I'm stuck at a standstill here... If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any.... :(

Another question I have now is what should my low and high side pressures be, I'm assuming since it's leaking slowly that I am gonna have to recharge it some...

Thanks,
Keith

Got the leak stopped, bought a shrader valve tool and tightened them up, also bought new shrader valves incase the leak returns...

Still curious as to what the low and high side pressures are supposted to be...

Defends on the ambient temp and Humidity...........
Let us say it's 86-95 degree and 30-50% Humidity low side would be around 35-51 psi and High side 180-244 Psi.....it's all relative...
best DIY psi charge (like those sold and autozone) would be around 45-50 PSI...

Thanks!

I have the standard 134a guages, not the cheap wal-mart low pressure only one...
