The left side step bar has a little more give than the right. I assumed the bushing was worn out.

I don't use them, even with the lift. I got in and pushed off the bar to straighten myself in the seat and the front bolt broke. I got a wrench from work to unbolt the rear so I could drive.

It's the bolt that goes into to body mount. I'm ok with removing the bars, but I guess I need to replace the broken bolt since its from the body mount.

I believe it's a M14x2x126. GM cab assembly mounting bolt. part # 11562587

Spray the balls off of it with pb blaster needlenose vise grips
I recently mixed up some ATF and Acetone for rust cutting. The problem is, it's very thin and might all drip away.

I'll have to get a better look at the other body mounts. The rubber ring fell off too. I'm not sure if that's part of the mount, or just because of the step mount. I'm probably not going to put the step back on. Even with the small lift, I can step right in.

I hear you on dripping away but if u the saying....throw enuff against the wall and some has to stick.....lol
Isnst there the rubber bushing and a big fender washer on those body mounts too?
