I would have to agree with branndon here. Put a big chunk away in savings or invest it. You can still take a bit and have some fun though. Hope everything works out!!

I'm for saving/investing the big portion too....that mustang isn't an investment car...for that matter few cars are.

By some rental property or something and build for the future...you've got 60ish years ahead of you yet.

I fully agree with Branndon. I'm in school currently but am unemployed, I'm studying to be a computer engineer. The only reason I would think of spending some of that money is because it's just the cherry on the sundae. I know I'm only 18 (19 soon) but I've got most of this figured out. After buying the Stang, I'm going to be helping with the bills in the house, car, insurance, and gas payments. I'm going to revive my older brothers Suburban. With all of this I still have more than %90 left over. Can you believe that?

I owned and leased an 05 mustang GT new body style. Stupidly it was my first car, I couldn't afford it with my crappy job. I got tired of it quick, there plenty fast but after owning one for less then a year I can honestly say that it was junk. I can really say that my tahoe a 13 year old suv is nicer then my ford ever was and I've owned it for 3 years and its payed off. These are crappy times to be starting off in life save your money. Really save it you don't' need a mustang right now. I never like to say my age around here, I'm mature I've lived my teenage years by my self but I'm also 19 years old. I really hope people don't look down on me for that, maybe people will understand why I'm such a scatter brain now ha.

Yea I do agree with you Blackcoffee %100 percent. But with this new income, my father even approves of it. It's such a hysterically large amount of cash that I can fly to Paris for a cup of java.

I grew up in a rich southern family and trust me I've worked for it since I was 14 years old. You could say we could almost do the same at one point. But a couple years ago that ended abruptly. My family owns a very well established business that manufactures materials & supplies that opened its doors in 1955. Our main products are concrete and steel and we compete with the largest manufactures of concrete and steel in the world. It is a small business but we do some really big projects or you could say we did... I'm not gonna go into detail as any of you that work construction know whats happening right now in the US and around the world. I'm just saying I personally know how much it sucks when you think your safe and sound and have plenty of money to go around doing whatever you want and have it disappear sometimes without any control. I thought I was set for life, I wasn't gonna worry to much about college or other jobs. I was set, working along side my dad, getting dirty and making bank. But now I go from ****** job to ****** job making $10 an hour and barely making it to community college cause my tanks empty.
