So even the Airaid MIT tube results in more power, not much, but a few HP. My point stands - the stock tube results in NO gain performance wise over something less complicated and less ugly. If something like the stock tube gained even a few hp over a plain tube, you can be sure that something like that would have been included with my supercharger instead of a smooth flowering simple tube that connects to the stock air box with a high flow (not cone) filter. As far as claiming that a full CAI will provide a “few” extra HP due to the filter itself, the test I linked shows over 25 hp with the AFE intake which has a large filter similar to stock. That’s not a few, that’s a lot. Show me the proof - not just an opinion- that that stock tube improves performance over a simple free flowing design. I do not buy it.
