Abs delete and autotrak transfer case

I deleted my abs module a while back. I’m having issues with my transfer case, does the abs module have anything to do with the transfer case??

It doesn’t look like it. The rear sensor (Vehicle Speed Sensor) is at the back of the transmission.

Because the abs sucks, I have good brakes now, I can stop on a dime and give change, screw that abs crap

All of my experiences with ABS are in BMWs. I was on California Hwy 101 just north of the turn off in to Palo Alto when someone without ABS made a hard stop which immediately put him into my lane 90º to the direction of travel. I was, fortunately, in my wife's BMW 540i wagon. I went into the ABS hard and stopped about 1-2 feet short of the blocking car. Neither you nor I can stop faster, period. The nose on the car dived so hard, I was surprised it didn't hit the pavement.

Now, if the GM ABS is a poor performer, I'll look into some sort of cure for that, but for the most part, ABS works and I'd never replace it otherwise.

Of course, the choice is yours, your truck.

Yea I get it, the abs on these trucks is part of the reason for poor braking, never seen one that will stop very good, I’ve done a lot of research on fixes and tried some, the only way I could actually achieve any kind of stopping power was to delete the abs, nbs master cylinder, stainless steel brake lines, aftermarket proportioning valve, ceramic pads and drilled and slotted rotors. After being in two wrecks because of lack of brakes I had to change my system

I’ve been looking this up before I drop $950 on a new tc, I found an old discussion from 2012 on gmc4x4.com where a guy says the tc has 3 vehicle speed sensors, one at the tailshaft, front driveshaft, and another that goes through the abs via the wheel speed sensors. Is this correct? Does it sound correct? If it is, that could partially explain any issues I would guess. I really don’t see how except for maybe auto 4wd where the different wheel speeds would help to engage 4wd.

I’m not seeing those as specific inputs to the ABS, though, but suppose that a flaky sensor could impact the ABS and/or the auto transfer case. But it doesn’t look like the ABS would impact the transfer case unless the transfer case could somehow not handle braking (and resulting speed sensor signals) that would otherwise be aided with an ABS activation. That doesn’t seem like a likely scenario to design a system so dependent on ABS, so don’t take my word for it. Maybe someone would be able to enlighten.

Hmmmm well my speed sensors in the front are inoperable, the abs module is not in the truck anymore since deleting the abs. Good news is nothing has been cut or destroyed so maybe I can just hook up all the wiring and see if it helps?
