That sounds like it was a hassle.
OEM brakes aren't spectacular.
How about Front Brake upgrade?
You don't have to get drilled rotors, thats expensive.
But better pads, even Carbon Fiber pads (no more brake dust on your rims) make a huge difference.
Add a stronger set of calipers from Summit of something..... Thats a significant upgrade for not a lot of $$$
