Hello,
I've just purchased an 02 Escalade that had the ABS and Brake lights lit on the dash. He told me they worked but it was just a light. Before I bought the truck I had read all of the EBCM ground threads and assumed this was my problem.

I opened the fuse box and noticed that the ABS 60 amp fuse had been pulled. I put it in and my Brake warning light disappears but the ABS light remains. I then observe a motor spinning noise near the engine.

Anybody have any ideas?

Thank you,
Matt

Crap. Just read this was a failed EBCM. Wish I could delete this post...

I have the same issue and you're right. If you're handy and can get it off yourself the repair is fairly cheap. There's an ebay seller that repairs yours for under $75 shipped both ways.

Do you know if we can drive our trucks without the module? The instructions looked like pressure sensors and lines needed to be disconnected.

Yeah. Remove the 4 screws, take the computer off, wrap the abs unit in tin foil/plastic wrap really good and you're set
