Got new tires last week and the tech smashed and cut the spend sensor wire. Hubs were replaced with Timkens about 3000 miles ago. I replaced the sensor with a new one from AutoZone. Cleared the code and it came back on. Checked code again and it said sensor is missing. I thought maybe it was a bad sensor so exchanged it for a new one. Still same code. Any ideas on what to check now?

kinda late to this but if you haven’t figured it out yet - here’s the likely culprit ….check the abs wires… there are 2 different wires that are different gauges in size….jack up, take your wheel off , compare with the wire on the opposite side. if the new one is smaller or larger than the one that wasn’t replaced - that’s the issue. one is for AWD - one is for 4x4….it’s very easy to wind up with the wrong one & very hard to know so when you’re buying it. as many parts that are 4x4 are also compatible AWD…. check that. if they differ - replace it with the correct one & should fix your issues

i just replaced my hub & had the same issue. i always keep my old parts in my garage for this reason - i jacked my truck back up, swapped it out with the one from my old hub & it took care of the issue. the sensor on the end of the wire that fits into the hub is the same size. as is the electrical terminal . the wire itself is the only part that will be different.
