get the same result either one, srs/abs is a standard like obd 96-2021 should give the same codes at least I think so
just went out and tried it on the ol'ladys 04 burb because it has a airbag error and same result gets to 98% and disconnects, she was in a accident a couple years ago I repaired everything except pulling the abs module to get it wiped so it has a open code, the only thing that will pull the code is a tech2 or a wired scanner that reads abs/srs
they all say they work but I have yet to see one pull srs/abs codes from a gm suv via bluetooth, can't even find a video showing one doing it on a gm, ford yes, other makes models yes, gm suv/pickup nope.
Guess I'm either lucky or crazy... not sure which at this point... lol
Maybe I will have to go out and plug into the Burb and find out which it is.
*** EDIT ***
So I just went out and hooked up my Bluetooth OBD2 adapter to check and see if I was crazy.
I guess I'm only half crazy...
I couldn't get it to read the SRS module... seems like I tried this before and it worked but maybe not.
It does however read the ABS module without any issue.
Turns out I have 2 codes that I was unaware of, because there is no ABS light on.
I also snapped a pic showing the protocol that it uses to connect to my truck... CAN 500k Type 1...
It also connected to the TCM as well without any problem...
So what does all this mean?... I have no idea... but it seems to work on my '08 Suburban just fine.
