Glad you got this resolved.Got the new clock spring installed but it was not my problem. My old clock spring was just fine. Here are the details.....
My original clock spring was mis-aligned. If you read my previous post, i was spinning the wheel while I had the shaft disconnected to lube it as it comes out of the firewall. When i re-connected the shaft, i THOUGHT i had it where it needed to be, and though the steering wheel was centered, the clock spring was not. The clock spring has a clear window at about the 5 o'clock position, and when it is centered it will display a little yellow circle. When the circle is displayed, that means its centered, it does not mean thats where it needs to be when it is mounted in your vehicle.
To trouble shoot this, you need to start your vehicle and turn your wheel in a direction until you get the stabilitrak light. From there, you need to rotate the clock spring one revolution in the opposite direction and then re-test. So for example if you spun your steering wheel to the right and got the warning, you need to pull the wheel back off or disconnect the shaft, and spin the steering wheel or clock springs one revolution to the left. This should fix your issue and you will no longer have the yellow circle in the clear window. This fixed my issue and just wanted to share for those who are still scratching their heads. If you do not do this, you can take to the dealer and they can use the tech2 to re-program the steering wheel position and what not, but as you know it will cost.
Now i have an extra clock springs in case anyone is looking for one.
