Hey guys, I'm having an issue when I stop at red lights the AC doesn't cool as well as when I'm driving. I've replaced the clutch fan inspected it and it didn't help. Most of the AC components are new and it cools very well when driving. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated... Ive had all my levels checked regarding freon, just put a new Air Compressor on with drier and hoses.

Did you run a vacuum on the system after repairs/replacements and before filling it with new refrigerant?

I had the same problem. When the Tahoe is stopped air no air is flowing through the air conditioner condenser. I installed a fan in front of the condenser with a toggle switch under the dash that I turn on in stop and go traffic.

I bought the fan from Amazon on July 18, 2017. That is what is nice with Amazon they keep track of all of your past purchases. Actually it is a GM part #GM3113114. Here is the Amazon link.

At what RpM do you idle in Drive?
When I had my pcm tuned, I upped my idle from 525RpM to 625RpM. AC works a lil better stuck in traffic jams.

I actually tried this, didn't work as well as I thought it should. thanks !
I also tried this back when I had a mech clutch fan, except I raised the idle in Drive / Reverse with AC ON all the way to 725RpM, which was enough to keep the AC ACing.

Still prefer the electrical fan update; my idle in Drive / Reverse with AC ON is at 625RpM, pretty chilly in here.
