Ac not cooling / Over Heating

Hi i have a 2009 yukon xl. A few weeks ago i noticed it was overheating to about 230 degrees. I checked the coolant, hoses, fans etc etc. Everything ok!! So someone mentioned to change the thermostat so i did. The yukon is still overheating when its parked. If im driving i have no issues. My ac compressor has always made a little noise but it always cooled to perfection. Suddenly its not cooling and its cycling on and off when parked and making a straining noise. Freon levels are ok. If im driving on the highway ac compressor will finally catch and start cooling but not to standards.

I've also noticed that the cooling fans are not as strong as they use to be. There on but before they use to sound pretty loud when they turned on and now they dont.

Compressor sounds like it gets stuck for a brief minute and then releases.

With dual fans, one should come on soon after the A/C compressor kicks in when you turn the A/C on. If that's not happening, then you have some issue with the fan, or fan circuit. That WILL cause the A/C to not cool as well, AND cause the engine to overheat, especially when sitting still.

Crash checked the relays on the fans and the one for Hi fan was bad.

How do you crash test a fan? Mine seem to kick on fine when parked and the AC is on.

Dual fans should always come on together unless seperated by a baffle or something or you just suck in one and out the other.
