The buttons were so wore that the stickers didn’t cover the edges and the colors showed through. So scraped the remaining black off the buttons then taped the light output area so I could paint the edges. I had read where the stickers prohibited light from showing through easily. So the paint was for the edges and then I used the stickers.

I did the same for the steering wheel controls on my 05 but I think yours came out better. I didn’t have the patience to wait for the paint to cure. Seems like I never do dammit. Hate waiting for paint to dry.

The wife is headed out of town and asked to borrow her grandparents 2017 Suburban Premier. They aren’t quite the car people like where I came from so it was actually pretty dirty for only having 7,400 miles. Couldn’t help myself but to start detailing the outside.

I also have a go kart that I bought cheap. Kids are begging me to get it fixed. The axel was bent after a previous repair attempt. I am going to recess the bolt into the frame. Drill holes in the square tubing and basically spot weld the head of the bolt. The plan is next to fill the void at the end of the square tubing. Not sure how I’m going to do that yet? Got it roughed in tonight. Headed to my dads shop in the morning to use his welder.

This pic is a bolt head welded to another bolt that was the original from the factory. It had also broke off.

We sold the 2009 and picked up this 2017 Premier. I had some Escalade wheels in the garage and a guy traded me straight up for the black reps. Not sure the plan yet. Still gathering ideas.
