Damn son good thing that was the rear and not the front. At 115 the front would have tore things up on the bottom of your engine. I had mine go at 40 and it still almost took out the oil pan.
Still don’t know the extent of the damage until the new shaft is installed. The motor sounds fine. Tore up my muffler.

Mine took out the oil filter and part of the pan but luckily it wasn't too bad and the pan didn't leak.

2wd & awd, his is 2wd, mine is awd.

I see a drive shaft loop in your future! Ditch that aluminum crinkle pipe if you want to be making horsepower and TORQUE. I remember when those first came out being marketed for our muscle cars and they just kept twisting and twisting and twisting in half. I kept the steel one and so too did my buddies after learning some expensive lessons.

I don't know what GM uses to specify whether a truck gets a steel or aluminum driveshaft but glad mine is not aluminum.

Got a new to me truck. 14’ SLT Z71. The Denali is going up for sale this weekend.

Also did some work to the Suburban. Experienced my first stretch fit belt and changed out the trim on the steering wheel. Also gave the Suburban a much needed interior detail!

Nice Z71 to the fleet. Interior trim pieces make a huge difference.

My 08 Sierra has a top and bottom tensioner pulley. The 09 Suburban only has a top. I rented the tools and ended up not using them. The tool was smarter than I was.
