So, this has been going on a few weeks now. I molded an iPad mini in to my dash. I used a Sony MEX-GS600BT radio because Sony has an App I can use from my mini's screen. Steering wheel controls, Phone BT for calls and audio works, everything works like an OEM radio. I have a video I'm uploading to see more. The mini has AT&T service so I get full use of everything while driving. Internet, Netflix, Maps, etc. It's charged when the car is on and held in by magnets and I can slide it out at any time if needed. When I slide it out, we put the radio faceplate behind the mini. But we soldered wires from the radio itself to the faceplate because the radio won't fit that far back behind the iPad. Not that I'll take it out much, but it was just something to do for the looks.
A few questions already.
- I've got a black lightning to USB cable on it's way so that white one doesn't stick out.
- I lost my backup camera, because the iPad doesn't have an input like that. I have the 09+ rear view mirror with LCD back up screen coming.
- I lost the output from my head unit to my 4 headrest, but I think I have a solution for that. For now the headrest have built in DVD players and inputs I can hook up my iPod Touch to.
- I also lost my USB dash plug, but I got that back working, but only to charge stuff, not for input. I'll show that in the other thread
I'm actually leaving on vacation in a few minutes, but I'll try to get the video uploaded later.

And here's some install pics. We used my friends Yukon to mock everything up and I had it hydro-dipped to match the Denali dash almost perfect.
