Adding some punch?

You tap into it at a speaker line. Then it outputs to an amp. Some amps have it built in and you would get some taps and run speaker wire from a speaker to the amp and attach it to the speaker inputs. It will convert it on board the amp.

So I can tap in like where the rear door speakers come into the pillar behind the trim? And I have to do one left and one right right?

This is what I bought for my sequoia but never installed. I havent decided if I want to put it in my Honda or the burb.

It has built in speaker level inputs.

Is this something that is "all in one" so i can just tap into the speaker wires and run the power and grounds for the amp?

I figured it out. Yeah you get what you pay for...and this looks like junk. I have a pioneer amp and dual 12" jl audio speakers. . So good stuff and it rattled my hair. It was so much I stepped down to a shallow single 10" in a truck box from kicker and a little 300 watt amp. Worked great, gave just enough bump and wasn't overwhelming. Consider that alpine link I sent you. Kicker makes one too and it's a bit cheaper.

I used a pac audio line output converter and tapped into the sub wires under the cup holders. I found a write-up in another site I’d link it if i can find it. It worked pretty well the only drawback is that the sub output for the factory Bose has a crossover built in and doesn’t put out really low notes. If you can wire in before the amp it would be best.

I've seen some aftermarket subs made to replace the factory one under the console.

I think my 2011 had an other than factory sub in it. It sounded a lot better than the one in my 2012.

Cup holders? You mean in the center console? There is a factory sub under there? I had no idea lol.

IMO the LC2i is the best Line Out Converter...

you just tap into the -/+ of the 2 rear door speakers and wire them to the LC2i and then run RCAs from the LC2i to the amp...had this setup on my Avalanche with the factory head unit and it sounded great!

I just pulled the rear door panels and the rear door speakers, then used some T-tap connectors to run speaker wire from the rear -/+ to the LC2i through the door and then through the rubber wire cable grommet, then down the B Pillar, then along the floor under the door sill plate...all connections are labeled on the LC2i so pretty simple to run the wires...pulled my power from my amp power wire which I ran from the battery through a hole I drilled in the firewall on the passenger side and also ran along the edge of the floor board under the door sill plates.
