Hey everyone, I know there's lots of posts about adding subs and amps but I'm having trouble finding the info I need for my situation. I have a 2016 Suburban LT with Bose option code UQA. I do not have a center speaker in the dash, I have front tweeters, front doors, rear doors, and possibly rear tweeters. It does not appear that I have a factory sub that I can tell.

I was planning to follow the instructions here to install my sub and amp using a line output converter.

My question is will tapping into the same wires on the amp harness get me a sub signal? or is mine going to be different due to the fact that my speaker setup is not the same?

Has anyone had experience with this mid level bose setup?

Check your rear left compartment on the driver side all the way back near the rear tailgate. Sometimes subs from the factory were put in there.

@Doubeleive has a good handle on Bose systems, and may be able to give you some perspective and thoughts regarding options for a subwoofer.

If you are remaining stock and just adding a sub woofer I would not recommend a "line converter" it will sound like trash and you will not have much if any base at all
what I would recommend is a audio control lc2, lc2i, etc or compatible bass restoration module.
reason being the bose system filters all the channels out HEAVILY. adding the module restores the bass signal and depending on the model also gives you a bass control knob.
it's well worth dropping a extra $70 for a bass module.
other than that you are ready to rock, the small factory sub is in the center console but it does practically nothing.
tap into the signal at the AMP in the rear drivers side compartment, easy to do the panel just pops off and walla everything is right there, just run your power wires as usual for the sub amp. the audio control should also give you a amp turn on signal.

I appreciate the input, I'm considering the lc2i or possibly doing the PAC harness that just plugs inline with the amp. I'm really looking for someone else with an LT like mine just to confirm a few details as this is not the same 10 speaker system as the ltz or Denali have.

the audio control is what I put in the wife's 2016, bose not the 10 speaker
tuned it and works pretty good for just adding a sub, the rest is all stock
