What additional Jack points are you all using? I only ask because I rotate my own tires and the factory Jack point only do one corner at a time and once used good the Jack leaves nowhere for the stands to go.

As the jack rises, it makes direct contact with, and pushes up against, the actual frame itself. Not the floor pan, not the gas tank, not the suspension, etc.

yep, don't lift under the running boards, oil pan, transmission, etc
the frame runs the length of the vehicle, all you have to do is look under it and move the jack to where it lifts up the FRAME, use common sense and lift it some and look under there again to be sure it is centered correctly and it's not going to slip off and damage the body

In other words since it's a vehicle with an actual frame jack points aren't as critical as a normal car or cross over. You should be able to jack it up and find room for the stand.

For years I jacked them up front under the crossmember below the oil pan. On one of my pickups, this crossmember eventually got bent. The Yukon's is fine. Now I place the jack under each lower control arm and lift that side and place the jack stand on the frame as specified in the manual.

If the rotation will be quick, we just put the floor jack under the pumpkin and lift the truck, the front wheels are chalked on both sides. If not, we'll either place them under the axle tubes or rear frame in front of axle depending on what we're doing back there.

LOL, you must be young. For some of us, a full frame IS a normal car. Unibody? Pshaw!

I didn't think of that distinction, though.

Anywhere that it'd be safe to jack up under a uni-body / monocoque car,
it'd be safe to jack up under a body-on-frame car ...
plus nearly anywhere on the frame (except for parts of the frame that are unreinforced C-channel).

Not that young. Figured if I called a car with a frame normal I'd get flamed since there hasn't been many options for those in decades (yet i own two).

it's pretty rare for someone to be worried about jack points with a full frame so I thought I'd point that out since I'm guessing that might be where the worry is coming from.
